Scheduled Repairs (SR)

SIRV CARANSEBES SA can perform scheduled repairs on all types of freight wagons except for tank wagons, where scheduled repairs may only include the specific part of the wagon (the repair does not include the tank part).

Scheduled repair of freight wagons is conducted based on a TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION approved by ASFR. The scheduled repair includes the inspection and repair of all wagon components.

In general, the subassemblies of freight wagons can be broken down into:

Wagon chassis, which includes the wagon box
Running gear consisting of the wagon bogies or, as the case may be, within wagons on two axles
Wagon axles
Wagon brakes
Traction, coupling, and collision devices of the wagon

All these subassemblies are dismantled/inspected/repaired as necessary and reassembled after passing the required tests and checks.

Scheduled wagon repairs are performed once every 6 (six) years, with checks/repairs dedicated to the running gear – called „Wheelset Overhaul” – abbreviated as „WO” – being carried out three years after its date of completion, as well as checks/repairs of the wagon brake – called „Intermediate Brake Revision” – abbreviated as „IBR”. SIRV CARANSEBES SA possesses qualified personnel, machinery, equipment, as well as controlled and certified stands, devices, and testers by AFER, referred to as „Measurement and Monitoring Resources” – abbreviated as „MMR”.
