The Intermediate Brake Revision (IBR) is mandatory three years after the Scheduled Repair. The date of this revision is inscribed on the wagon at the time of the Scheduled Repair.
The Intermediate Brake Revision is conducted based on a Technical Specification approved by ASFR. The inspection works are performed on brake equipment such as brake cylinders, air distributors, brake linkage, brake shoes, valves, and air semi-couplers. These works can also be carried out outside the company through the use of a mobile workshop. If certain subassemblies are found to be defective, they are replaced or repaired within the company, as the company has the necessary resources.
